Supply Chain Specialist

The Role

As growing organization, you will contribute towards Planning, Procurement and Outbound Logistics. The role will be reporting to Head of Procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project and Production teams to forecast demand accurately. Develop and maintain demand plans to support production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Create Material Requisitions for Purchasing, including quantities, and required dates.
  • Support manufacturing by creating production schedules.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure that all outbound logistics activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively, defense industry knowledge is preferred including basic understanding on export controls.
  • Have working knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for IFS, to support the implementation, internal training, and enhancement of our ERP software.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and flexibility of the supply chain. Implement best practices and benchmark performance against industry standards.
  • Perform data analyses to make data-driven decisions and optimize supply chain performance.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Knowledge of developing and writing process and procedure
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups including but not limited to Project, Production, Quality, and Engineering
  • Willing to work in growing team and ready to carry out hand-on job

Experience:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience with Supply Chain Management and Logistics practices and processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • To succeed in your role, you should be a person with a large commercial and technical interest and a high capability of building trust in external as well as internal relations.
  • Develop Supply Chain scorecards, dashboards, reporting & analytics.
  • Develop and maintain relevant processes, procedures, tools, and templates, and help deliver technical solutions.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001
  • A positive, proactive “can do” attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust across the organization.
  • You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word.
  • Arabic language is a plus
  • Driver’s license

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab processes.
