Resource Analyst

The role

Working as a permanent member of Saab’s Naval Combat Systems group, the Resource Analyst and will be responsible for facilitating the effective management of the CSI-IPT resources through the analysis of workforce demands from programs, forward planning, strategic workforce planning and workforce/resource reporting.

Establishing and delivering a people resource management database you will review, allocate and manage resource levels. You will work closely with the CSI-IPT Management Team and CAMs to ensure there is clear understanding of current/planned and future resourcing levels required to deliver against current and future work scope.

The Resource Analyst will work closely with the CSI-IPT Capability Lead to ensure that the CSI-IPTs resource needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Manage and develop the CSI-IPT resource database to effectively manage CSI-IPT resource capability and capacity to support resource forecast demands from Tasking Statements.
  • Analyse current, planned and future resource levels of Tasking Statements across the CSI-IPT and provide forward guidance to the CSI-IPT Management Team and CAMs to support recruitment and capability management, as well as understand the reasons for the resource profile characteristics.
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure resource data for the portfolio is of decision making quality.
  • Establish and maintain SQEP data attributes within the CSI-IPT resource database to ensure supplied resources are SQEP for the resource forecast demands from Tasking Statements.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to articulate forecast resource requirements based on project timelines, team capacity, and organizational goals.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Proven experience as a Resource Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience with using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with data analysis software, such as Saviom or Tableau, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working within collaborative or alliance contracting frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Engaging and consultative style with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence.
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative problem solving skills.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
