Project Quality Manager Design

Your role

As Project Quality Manager (PQM), you will primarily support the Project Managers, in the Design organisation, with quality related work. This entails guiding and ensuring that the internal projects within Design are delivered with the expected high quality throughout the whole development process, from requirement management to final design. Included is defining and following the progress of quality objectives, ensuring adherence to internal processes and work routines, participating in milestone reviews and acting as the quality representative in all relevant matters throughout the project execution.

Main tasks will include:

  • Develop and follow up on quality plans
  • Review the projects continuously and report independent quality status directly to project owners and managers
  • Assess status and provide input at milestone reviews and is expected to act and, if needed, escalate if the project is risking to not achieve defined quality
  • Participate in preparations and reviews for milestones
  • Follow up on quality for sub-systems
  • Perform RCA for deviations or delays
  • Hold lessons learned, and support the projects and project members in process adherence
  • Preform internal audits, support the organization with process development initiatives and lead internal improvement activities

You will be a part of the Quality Management organization within Operational Excellence at BA Surveillance, responsible for assisting with best practices and ways of working to increase efficiency and profitability.

The role is based in Järfälla. Domestic business travel might be required occasionally.

Your profile

We are looking for you with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, we also believe that you need to have several years’ experience in software, hardware and product development and really enjoy quality related issues as well as improving processes and organizations.

You also need to be able to structure and systematize multi-dimensional tasks and have excellent analytical skills as well as being collaborative and deliver on time. You can balance the need for solutions and being pragmatic with a clear understanding for requirements and being able to share that knowledge in an understandable way.  

Required experience:

  • Development of complex IT-systems, systems-of-systems solutions, software development and systems engineering
  • Work within quality management, process development and audits for the above
  • Ability to see the "big picture" in complexity and make fact-based recommendations
  • Proven social and collaborative skills
  • Good ability to communicate in English and Swedish, both verbally and written

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
